I finally got my hands on some Makeup Geek eyeshadows and I’m really excited to talk about them! I got some neutral and purple shades in matte, shimmer, and duochrome to start my collection off with. Here are my thoughts!
MAKEUP GEEK
Pictured above is a simple look I wore last weekend. I used shimma shimma on the brow bone, vanilla bean all over the lid, peach smoothie in the crease, with créme brulee and cocoa bear on the outer v. The first thing I noticed while playing around with these shades is the color payoff, they are all so pigmented! They go on really smooth and Makeup Geek has so many unique colors that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Another thing that’s great about Makeup Geek is that they don’t test on animals. Cruelty-free is always a plus in my book!
I also really, really like the idea of being able to create your own palette. It’s nice to choose all of the colors and there’s less of a chance that you’ll have shades you don’t use, or don’t like. So when you hit pan on your favorite eyeshadow, you can just replace it! Now instead of trying to use up the rest of the eyeshadows after hitting pan on my favorite color, I can just replace that one eyeshadow. Great way to save money! Also, each Makeup Geek eyeshadow is only $6, which is fairly inexpensive especially considering how pigmented they are.
I need more Makeup Geek. What should I try next?
