My friend recommended I try ColourPop liquid lipstick, so I ordered some to review! I got two ultra matte liquid lipsticks, an ultra satin liquid lipstick, and a lippie stix. I’ve been testing them out for a couple weeks now and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you!
Top Left: Cookie, Top Right: Magic Wand, Bottom Left: Clueless, Bottom Right: Succulent
I tried to pick some different colors, a dusty mauve, an orange-red, along with two nude shades because I just can’t resist. These are really affordable for liquid lipstick at just $6 each and $5 for the lippie stix. I really love the colors I chose, but if I had to pick favorites I would say cookie and succulent. I find that succulent can be a bit drying, but applying lip balm underneath helps a lot. I’m also just absolutely obsessed with the color. I put these ColourPop liquid lipsticks on before work and they last the whole workday no problem. I touch them up slightly if I notice wear on the inside of my lips where they touch, but that’s about it. I am honestly SO impressed with how long-lasting these are. I’m also happy to report that ColourPop doesn’t test on animals which, as always, is a major plus in my book!
The packing is great and not messy at all, so you don’t run the risk of getting liquid lipstick everywhere. Also, they’re very easy to apply without being streaky and have no noticeable smell. The one that does smell is cookie, but it smells so good, kind of like a cupcake, or you know, cookies. I really like that the lippie stix goes on smooth and is matte without being drying. Magic wand has a satin finish which is good because it’s almost matte, but not completely, so it’s a bit of a different look. Also, for anyone that’s interested, I heard (after I had already ordered it) that Clueless is a dupe for Kylie Jenner’s Candy K. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for affordable liquid lipstick or lipstick options!
