UNPOPULAR OPINION | I PREFER JANE LEVY AS MANDY IN SHAMELESS

JANE LEVY in this picture is my exact reaction when season 2 of Shameless came around & I noticed that Mandy Milkovich had changed quite a bit since the first season. Jane Levy had been replaced with Emma Greenwell & NO HATE, maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but I honestly just think that season one Mandy was better.

I’M SURE there was a reason they changed actresses. Maybe it was because Levy signed on to do Suburgatory, or maybe she didn’t want to be naked all the time. EITHER way it was just such an abrupt and obvious recast & as a Levy fan, it was a sucky one. I’m sure some people were completely unfazed by change in Mandy and I’m sure there are even some people who prefer the new Many Milkovich, but for me, the original Mandy was just better.

I really liked Mandy’s character and wasn’t prepared to see a strange face on my screen. I like Levy, I watched Suburgatory & she was SO good in that. BUT OH WELL, in the grand scheme of Shameless I guess it doesn’t REALLY matter THAT much who plays Mandy. EVEN IF Jane Levy was better.
