OUTFIT OF THE DAY | YOU USED TO CALL ME ON MY CAR PHONE

retro vintage outfit

A few weeks ago I pulled the whole online-shopping-with-a-glass-of-wine-in-hand thing & got some stuff on sale at ASOS. But I kept it all, so I guess tipsy-jam lives to shop another day. An outfit honestly can dictate your entire mood and this one was comfy, felt like ‘me’ and made me want to create something fun. So here’s my outfit of the day, some pictures to capture the vibe of an outfit.

casual outfit of the day:

I’ve been taking this lil red velvet backpack with me everywhere & I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on it, lol. IDK about you, but I always feel like I carry around more junk in the summer. A backpack carries all my things for me AND keeps my hands free for activities. BONUS that it adds a pop of red to any outfit, which can be cute.

CAN WE take a moment to reflect on the fact that this shirt expresses excitement about being able to make calls from your car? Love the vintage vibe of this boxy t-shirt & love the idea of a cell phone being a brand new sparkly toy. The first mobile phone call was made in 1973 & now we all carry tiny computers around in our pockets & make hands-free bluetooth calls in our cars, kinda nucking futs.

I started the outfit with this white graphic t-shirt & paired it with light-wash mom jeans, then added the wire frame glasses, blush mules & red backpack to finish off the look. So yeah, wear clothes that make you feel fun & creative, wear clothes that make you feel like ‘you.’ This outfit of the day was inspired by CALLS IN YOUR CAR!!

OUTFIT DETAILS: t-shirt & mom jeans from Pull&Bear, glasses from Jeepers Peepers, backpack from Qupid, mules by Park Lane AND ALL purchased through ASOS.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

COMMENT BELOW, let me know which clothing trend you’ve been loving! I can’t get enough mules lately.
