LOL OKAY so I’m sure you’ve heard of the Netflix Originals To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Kissing Booth. They’re both light-hearted romantic teen comedies, nothing too serious, but they’re kinda cute. WELL I’ve watched both of them & everyone is comparing the two male leads, SO today we’re settling it. Peter Kavinsky vs. Noah Flynn, who’s the better fictional boyfriend?
who’s the better fictional boyfriend?

Peter Kavinsky (played by Noah Centineo) dates Lara Jean (Lana Condor) in To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi) dates Elle Evans (Joey King) in The Kissing Booth. I figured, what better way to compare two fictional love interests than a good old PROS & CONS list?
THE GOOD: PETER KAVINSKY has a cute nickname for Lara & they worked together to compromise on the rules, plus he shows her off at school and makes sure she gets home from the party safely by not drinking and driving. Overall very sweet & patient with her.
THE BAD: He let his ex-girlfriend take Lara’s favorite scrunchie & their relationship started out fake, which might not be the best foundation, but ya never know.
VS.
THE GOOD: NOAH FLYNN sticks up for Elle and has her back when that girl boops her forehead, I’m sure she feels comfortable around him since they’ve known each other so long and he pulled his motorcycle over in the rain so they didn’t crash, even though he was maybe just trying to kiss her.
THE BAD: His flirting style is mean, like schoolyard-bully-flirting & I don’t love that, he gets jealous SO easily and he gets into fights all the time. OH ALSO, their whole relationship has to be kept a secret from her BEST FRIEND, not ideal.
THE WINNER? Peter Kavinsky, of course. He took a picture of Lara Jean & set it as his phone background immediately. If that doesn’t take you right back to high school & make your heart melt a bit, then IDK. ALSO To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before had a pretty epic soundtrack, just saying.

Yees I love Peter! I think in the books he is even more interesting, because in the beginning I didn’t really like him but the more I got to know him the more I liked him. The movie was so cute and Peter is the cutest.. Couldn’t agree more with you! 🙂 Have a nice day xx Marina

I’ve actually watched both films haha! Agree with your choice 100%. Loved watching To All The Boys I Loved Before – I really like how they wrapped the concept up and it didn’t feel cliché…it was actually pretty cute. The Kissing Booth on the other hand was so cliché and the acting was okay (although I thought the female lead was really good). The thing that bothered me the most about Kissing Booth is that they never explained Noah’s violent tendencies??? Like did he have anger management issues? They just never got into that which was kinda annoying. Plus it was cringe because it was the whole “omg you’ve gone through puberty and now you’re hot” vibe hahaha.
Have you watched Sierra Burgess is a Loser? That’s kinda new on Netflix but the guy who plays Peter Kavinsky is in there too!

YES to all the boys i’ve loved before was pretty cute & definitely a bit different! AND ALSO YES the kissing booth was pretty cliche & the female lead was the only one i really liked lol. right?? didn’t really explain other than that’s just how he always was… and lolol so true, not a new concept. i watched that recently & did NOT like it…. at all

Oh care to share why you didn’t like Sierra Burgess Is A Loser at all? I thought it was average and basically Catfish and the whole good girl turned mean towards the end. But would be interesting to see your input? 🙂

i thought it was a bit awkward that she kissed him when he wasn’t aware & the whole catfish angle made me not like the main girl! idk, felt mean to the boy a bit 🙈

Oh I agree! It was really awful the way that happened cos he got played more or less. She wasn’t who he thought she was and that turn-around at the end seemed too soon when he said my type is you or something like that!!

YES i totally agree, the turnaround was definitely too soon!! cute, but coulda been MUCH better with a few changes.
